Monumental studies of the interspecies encounter, rendered at a scale that demands a physical response

The bison drifts between presence and absence. The animal hovers at the edge of perception, dissolving and returning with each shift of air. It is both ghost and body, memory and matter, reminding us that what we see depends on where we stand, and how long we look.

Adding the element of time.

Scale, Gaze and the Interspecies Encounter

My drawing practice is centered on the weight of the encounter. Through life-size proportions and an uncompromising direct gaze, these works bridge the distance between the human and the natural world. They are not merely observations, but confrontations, inviting a dialogue of mutual recognition that exists beyond language
