How I Can Help

Mold-Making & Casting

Reciprocity →

  • Silicone & Rubber Molds: Multi-part brush-on or pour molds for complex geometries.

  • Plaster & Waste Molds: Traditional techniques for clay-to-plaster transitions.

  • Resin & Cold-Cast Bronze: High-quality casting in a variety of archival materials.

  • Foundry Preparation: Expert wax chasing and gated patterns ready for investment.

With over 15 years of experience in fine art foundries and studio practice, I provide professional mold-making and casting services for artists, designers, and institutions. I specialize in creating high-fidelity molds that preserve the finest details of your original work while ensuring durability for multiples or foundry transitions.

This sculpture was inspired by my visit to Save the Chimps, a chimpanzee sanctuary in Fort Pierce Florida and was supported by Polytek who generously donated the rubber used for the mold.

How are large sculptures made?

It depends what material you’re using. But many large scale sculptures involve a mold of some kind. Below watch as I take my chimpanzee sculpture from water based clay to plaster.

Project Consulting & Troubleshooting

Taking a project from a small-scale maquette to a permanent public installation requires more than just artistic vision, it requires technical strategy. I offer professional consulting services to help artists, municipalities, and private clients navigate the logistics of large-scale sculpture, material selection, and structural integrity.

Material Strategy: Advising on durability and maintenance for outdoor environments (Bronze, Stainless Steel etc).

Scaling & Enlargement: Technical guidance on moving from small models to monumental scale.

Installation Logistics: Troubleshooting mounting, hardware, and site-specific placement.

Foundry Liaison: Acting as a technical intermediary between the artist and the foundry to ensure quality and budget control.

I offer a complimentary 15-minute introductory call to determine if your project is a fit for my expertise. For deep-dive technical reviews, site visits, or RFP strategy, my consulting rate is $125/hour. Please fill out the form below to schedule your intro call.
